4 days trip to 12 famous Temples in Karnataka (Day 2)
Ready for Day 2.....
Day started by visiting the Sringeri Sharada peetham in the morning. Less crowd and beautiful weather. Only one song comes to my mind to describe this beautiful day....
After Darshana we left towards our next destination Shankaranarayana Temple. Coming to our breakfast we had it at the hotel where we stayed.

My experience - We left Sringeri around 9 and reached Shankaranarayana Temple around 10:30. We drive via Agumbe to Shankaranarayana Temple, you can capture beautiful pictures on the way. This is the first time i visited this temple. "Shankaranarayana” is considered as one of the seven holy places created by Maharshi Parashurama. In the same idol, you can see both Mahadeva and Mahavishnu, one half Shiva and another half Vishnu.

My experience - We reached Kollur around 12. Very peaceful place. Beautiful location. Here also less crowded, probably because of month which we traveled and day. We traveled in November and on weekday. We had lunch at the temple. Food at the temples are very tasty, nothing can beat it. We don't miss that opportunity when we visit temples.
When i am writing this blog, i remember one more song which i used to listen about this Goddess and place.
Kollur to Hattiangadi Siddivinayaka Temple
Travel time - 46mins (37km)
Address - JPWM+Q62, Kundapura, Karnataka 576201
Timings - 8am - 8pm
Website - http://www.srisiddhivinayakatemple.com/
My experience - We reached around 4pm. Hattiangadi is well known for its Siddivinayaka Temple, which is supposed to have been constructed around the seventh or eighth century. The Lord Ganapathi Temple is situated on the bank of River Varahi. It is the only Temple in India, where the idol of Lord Vinayaka has jata(hair). The idol itself is carved of a Saligrama stone and is 2.5 feet high and Vinayaka’s curly hair is left loose at the back. The trunk is bent towards the left. It is very rare to see such idols.
After visiting the temple, we traveled to the center of Kundapura (where we stayed). On the way, we visited Marvanthe beach. We were able to witness the sunset. Dinner at the hotel.
Day 2 comes to an end.
