My experience: We reached around 1. We took some seva ticket and were allowed to sit in front of the Goddess. It seems as if goddess is standing really in front of you and it was time for mahamangalarathi (1:30). Wonderful darshana. They say if you visit this temple, you shouldn't miss having food over there. We had our lunch in the temple.
Annaprashana for children are done here. Many other sevas are also done here.

My experience: on the way to Sringeri, just few Kms from Horanadu, there is a small store named Hallimane (herbal medical store). It is almost 200 yrs old. Interior of the house is very beautiful. Just Hop off and have a juice over there. Its very tasty. If you are fan of taking pics, this is the perfect place.
We reached Sringeri in the evening. We checked in to our hotel and got fresh and went to temple. Place is so calm and beautiful. No words to say about the architecture, just amazing. This Sharada peetham is the first and foremost of the four Peethams established by the renowned 8th century philosopher saint Sri Adi Shankara, the principal exponent of Advaita (non-dualism).
We had dinner at temple and stayed overnight in Sringeri.
Day 1 comes to an end.
